Farm Festival corn maze is for the Birds

Farm Festival corn maze is for the Birds

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP – The owners of the Sahl Father Son Farm on Pestalozzi Street have scheduled a Farm Festival Sept. 19 through Oct. 31 featuring a corn maze designed in the image of the Philadelphia Eagles logo.

The 8½-acre maze includes more than a mile of twists, turns, and decision points, according to farm spokesman Jeremy Sahl. It was designed by The MAiZE Co. of Spanish Forks, Utah, which has designed 300 mazes this year alone.

There are also hayrides, a pumpkin patch, corn box, hay jump, mini maze, trench maze, sand pile, Kiddie Koral, Bungee Run, and other activities.

The farm is open 4 to 6 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays; and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays. Special events include an Eagles’ Youth Partnership Fundraiser Oct. 1 to 3, and Flashlight Night Weekend Oct. 30 and 31.

The price is $9 per person with children under 3 free. Field trip hours, during weekdays, are available by reservation. Discounts, group rates and season passes are available at www.fathersonfarm.com. The farm is located at 422 W. Pestalozzi St., about 3½ miles north of the White Horse Pike on Odessa Avenue.

The Sahl Farm Festival 2009 is sponsored by First National Bank of Absecon.

For information call (609) 965-9300 or email fatherson@josephsahlandson.com.
